Have you ever seen a firefighter entering a house engulfed in flames? It’s amazing how these people throw themselves into very dangerous situations without hesitation. With the help of technological advancements, we see that these people wear tools and equipment that make them somehow invincible to the dangers of fire.
In our lives, we face situations that seem to be like massive flames we have to pass through. The truth is, the word of God is like a "protective garment" that we can wear in times like these.
Being bombarded with bad news can somehow make us forget God’s goodness in the past.
We may ask ourselves, “How can I move forward?” The answer lies in the word of God. The Bible tells us that God created us, formed us, and redeemed us. He is the only one that calls us by our name and calls us His. God wants to strengthen us so that even when we walk through fire, we will not panic. Rather, we will stroll with grace and comfort, knowing that God protects and shields us.
Sometimes, we think that our future is hindered by a wildfire that we cannot go through. The word of God tells us not to fear but to trust. God holds our future and He will be with us wherever we are. If God is with us, He is for us and nothing can be against us (Romans 8:31).

1. What situations in your life feel overwhelming right now? Ask the Lord to give you strength to trust Him as you walk through it.
